We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Analyst to join our dynamic team in the PEO industry. The Tax Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and providing valuable insights to support our clients’ financial goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including federal, state, and local payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and assess their impact on our clients’ businesses.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather payroll and financial data, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting for tax purposes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax efficiency for clients.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients on tax-related matters, including tax credits, deductions, and incentives, and address inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of tax filings, correspondence, and supporting records, ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Participate in tax audits and inquiries, liaising with tax authorities and providing necessary documentation and support as required.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in tax compliance and payroll processing, and recommend process improvements and automation solutions as appropriate.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax compliance, preferably in the PEO industry or a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, payroll tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax software and payroll systems, with experience using platforms such as APEX, PrismHR, & Quickbooks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
